Analysing A Music Video (9)
Train- Drive by
Camera:
The music video starts of with a medium long shot- this is because it shows the setting where it is shot
It then goes into a medium shot to the artist- it shows his facial expression
A close up shot of the artist starting the engine
Editing:
Jump cuts are used a lot
Quite fast paced between shots which compliment the upbeat song
Sound:
The soundtrack starts when the artist pulls the cover of the car, the music is upbeat and is fast, this suggests and connotes that the car is fast
Mise-en-scene:
the song is happy and upbeat, this maybe why key lighting is high
it is a narrative based music video it includes footage that attempts to tell the story through moving images
Facial expressions- at the start the artist looks down however when the song comes on majority of the actors are smiling or laughing
