Editing

I am at the large finishing stages of editing my video, I have decided to make some clips black and white because my video is about fantasy versus reality. As Sofie is living in a fantasy world (a dream) I have decided to make her clips black and white, the clips start changing from normal to black and white when she falls asleep in her dream, whilst Anna the performer of my music video has not been edited with black and white as she is living in the reality world. I really like the black and white effect  used for the fantasy world comparing it to reality as it shows the differences of how people live in real life situations.
It took my some time editing this however there are still more improvements I need to make, I have gotten used to using premier pro so it shouldn't be a problem for me to finish it soon.

Change In StoryBoard

I had a change of plan and I wanted to change my storyboard. I wasn't really sure about it so I am completely changing the layout and setting of my music video. My new music video is going to have a narrative and performance base to it. I am changing my storyboard because my target audience prefers it, I have asked numerous people if they preferred this storyline and all of them said yes, this is because the storyline is more detailed and interesting than the last one. My old storyboard I wasn't sure about it because I didn't actually have any idea how to film or start on it. It took me quite a long time to plan out my new storyboard and I am happy with it now, I have a better understanding how to start it and I am looking forward to film. Firstly I am going to be filming Anna singing her song as the narrative base and then film my friends around school and where I live.

Storyline:
- A boy and girl who are in a relationship, the girl is in love with him
- They have been going out for a long time
- However he is cheating on her
- She knows but she doesn't say anything because she loves him too much
- We see her happy with him but when she's by herself she is upset
- We see snippets of him and another girl together
- She see's is but just walks away
- In the end she doesn't say anything, she is depressed and keeps it to herself

Magazine Advert Chosen

In the end I have chosen this picture as my magazine advert this is because in general the photo looks better and also the picture reflects what she loves doing.

Magazine Advert

Here are two magazine adverts I am still deciding which one to use. I like the first one because it fits in with the genre of music she writes which is indie music also I like the medium close-up of her face because it focuses on her with only nature around her. I like the second one because she is a singer/songwriter and reflect what she does in a day to day basis also it's not too over done with Photoshop, its kept simple and can be easily remembered. I have also changed the font of the second magazine to the one on my first draft digipak this is because I think it looks suits the layout of the background and it doesn't look as harsh.

First Draft Of Digipak

Here is my first draft of my digipak, their are still some changes I need to make such as the CD, I need to add my record logo on and also add a picture to the background of the CD. I am still unsure with my magazine advert, I may change it to a different picture as I think it doesn't really fit in with the other pictures of nature.

Magazine Advert Ideas

Here are a few sketches of initial ideas I have drew:

My favourite idea on this page is the second one, I like how she is facing the Sun and the clouds, with her name bleeding against it, the idea also links in with the song she has written.

Analysis Of my Song Lyrics

   Get Away

Lyrics:                                                                                            Analysis:
Darkened days spent behind a book                            Tired and depressed, difficult time of period
Alliteration of D makes a heavy sound
wishing words could just stay a little while                     Wants to stay living in her fantasy
fantasy links to the book and how to get
away from stuff you read preferring
                                                                                               another life
Fantasy verses reality
You're never gunna get away                                             However reality will always win

(Chorus)
And they say
Darling just be brave                                                              Have to face reality
I know you can make another day                                            It will be hard but you can do it
Get your head out of the clouds now it's time to go home           Trying to get back into reality
And she stares and she stares
Just alone ohhh oh.                                                                 Feels isolated, no one understand her

Loveless love and empty laughter                                          Feel unloved, nothing to laugh at
When did our lives turn into such a disaster                            Living in reality is a disaster
You keep yourself far away                                                  Try and face reality. try and ignore it
To ensure that you feel no pain                                             So that your reality turns into a fantasy
And they say

(Chorus)

(Bridge)

It's better there                                                                    Prefer living in her fantasy world
Its happy there its better in the clouds                                She doesnt want to come back down to                                                                                                 to  the world of reality

(Chorus)

I asked my friend Anna who wrote the song, what ideas inspired her to write these lyrics she said 'I wrote it last Summer when I was just thinking about how some people prefer living in a fantasy then actually dealing with life. It's supposed to be uplifting in the sense- get your heads out the clouds, meaning come back to reality stop dwelling in what you wanted.

Age Rating For Music Videos

On 1st October 2014 a pilot scheme has been welcomed by David Cameron to add age rating to online music videos start but dont expect to see any huge 12s, 15s or 18s on videos just yet. He said it will help parents protect their children from seeing inappropriate content. All parties involved say people watching the videos won't see any changes until the end of the year. Youtube says it is committed but technical change may take time and Vevo has agreed to trial the scheme.
Three of the biggest labels in UK- Sony Universal and Warner Brothers have all also agreed to take part, but it will only apply to artists signed to UK labels. This has been worked on as people are concerned of sexual content in music video where young children can easily go on YouTube and watch.

“From October, we’re going to help parents protect their children from some of the graphic content in online music videos by working with the British Board of Film Classification, Vevo and YouTube to pilot the age rating of these videos.”
